Doug Bradley Likeness

For my second Art Heroes project for the Character Mentorship program, I chose to sculpt a likeness of actor, Doug Bradley, both as his normal self and the character, Hell Priest (a.k.a Pinhead). Thanks to the feedback of my peers and instructor, Josh Wallace, I was able to get my sculpt to resemble him quite well. His human form outfit was inspired by photos taken by Ian Aberle at Texas Frightmare Weekend in 2011. I also rewatched the first three Hellraiser films to get sufficient references of his costume. For the main image I used geometry nodes to easily morph between both sculpts and set up a few shaders to switch materials from one to the other.
Check out more of Josh Wallace’s work, he’s a skilled artist and excellent instructor
